Volunteer Programme manager X2 - 1 role in Wolverhampton & 1 role in warwickshire

We’re on the hunt for two people who have experience in managing projects, enjoy taking their own initiative and who is passionate about volunteers and the impact they can have. One role will be based in Wolverhampton city centre and the other in Nuneaton or Warwick.
The type of person we are looking for will enjoy working in partnership with several different stakeholders, is adept at all kinds of different communication techniques and is proficient at monitoring.
But most importantly, they need to have a real desire to want to support young people who are vulnerable.
The role for this personable and friendly manager is to coach mentors to support young people leaving the care-system (this is young people aged 16-24yrs old) who, typically, tend to leave the care system lacking positive adult role models. These volunteer mentors work closely with their mentees to help improve their confidence, social and independent living skills.
You’ll be expected to recruit, interview, induct, train and support volunteers who become mentors and work closely with partners/referral agencies and funders to ensure a steady flow of beneficiaries into the projects.
The kind of background that you’ll have will include:
Experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers
Ability to motivate and engage people
Experience of working in partnership with different stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to negotiate
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and developing workload, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Evidence of good administrative and IT skills and the ability to maintain project monitoring, administrative and financial records

This role is to oversee the final months of a UK-wide programme that encourages disabled and non-disabled people to take part in and enjoy activity together. The programme has been successfully working across many different localities in the UK, all focussed on getting people active and engaged in their local community.
Our client is seeking a creative, methodical and highly-organised individual to support them through the final stages of the programme. With an affinity for volunteering and getting people active, you’ll be leading and guiding the work of our internal team and coordinating the packages of support we provide. This includes liaising with external suppliers and our internal support teams on our comms and web content. You’ll also work closely with the Head of National Programmes in monitoring performance.
